Changing Plans
Upgrade or downgrade your subscription:1
Go to Billing
Navigate to Account → Billing

Click Change Plan
View available plans and compare features.

Select New Plan
Choose your desired plan.

Confirm Change
- Upgrades: Take effect immediately, prorated for current period
- Downgrades: Take effect at next billing date
Cancellation
To cancel your subscription:- Go to Billing → Cancel Subscription
- Complete the cancellation survey
- Confirm cancellation
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You won’t be charged again, and you can continue using SmartAlex until then.
Payment Methods
Adding a Card
- Go to Billing → Payment Methods
- Click Add Payment Method
- Enter card details
- Click Save

- American Express
- Discover
Default Payment Method
Your default payment method is used for:- Monthly subscription charges
- Automatic wallet top-ups
- Overage charges
- Go to Payment Methods
- Click the menu on the card you want as default
- Select Make Default
Removing a Card
You cannot remove your only payment method while you have an active subscription. Add a new card first, then remove the old one.Invoices

Access all invoices from Billing → Invoices:- Invoice date
- Amount charged
- Payment status
- Download PDF

Each invoice includes:- Subscription charges
- Usage charges (overage)
- Wallet top-ups
- Phone number fees
- Taxes (if applicable)
Receipts
Payment receipts are automatically emailed to your account email. Download past receipts from the invoice detail page.Wallet

Go to Wallet
Navigate to Account → Wallet

Select Amount
Choose a preset amount or enter a custom value. Default USD presets are $5, $10, $25, $50, and $100. Presets adjust automatically for other currencies (ZAR, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, AED, SGD, INR).

Complete Payment
Use your default payment method or add a new card.
Auto Top-Up
Enable automatic top-ups to never run out of credits:Wallet Balance
View your current balance and recent transactions:- Current balance

Understanding Usage
Usage is measured in calling minutes. Beyond your included minutes, calls average about $0.05/min (the exact cost varies by call), deducted automatically from your prepaid wallet.Included Minutes

When you exceed included minutes:- Charges are deducted from your prepaid wallet automatically
- Keep your wallet topped up so calls and outbound campaigns keep running
- If your wallet runs out, outbound campaigns pause until you add credit

Your subscription renews monthly on the anniversary of your signup date. Usage overage and wallet charges may occur anytime during the month.

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Wallet credits can be refunded within 30 days if unused. Contact support for refund requests.

Invoices are sent to your account email. Update your email in Account Settings to change where invoices are sent.

Yes. SmartAlex uses Stripe for payment processing. We never store your full card number, only a secure token.
